The Power of Communication
The key to successful communication
In this seminar, Claudia Fritsch introduces the three pillars – personality, status behavior and the power of language – as the key to successful communication and teaches participants the theory; the participants then practice this knowledge and reflect on their experience to be able to apply it in their professional and private life.
Learning Contents
Personality and thus our behavior decisively determine how we affect others and how we communicate with others. Awareness of such mechanisms as well as targeted use of strengths and consciously controlled weaknesses make it possible to individually adapt ways of communicating and thus improve the relationship with the interlocutor.
You learn to differentiate between inner and outer status and to adapt your status behavior to the other person and the situation.
Knowledge of the richness of language, the effects of different words and forms of expression in different contexts creates a more conscious and appropriate use of language.
Taking these elementary factors into account, it becomes possible to develop into a competent communicator who does justice to oneself and the interlocutor.
Communication for Impact
Speeches with impact
There can be various situations in which we have to prove ourselves verbally and non-verbally. Whether we are giving a presentation or speech or conducting a staff meeting, it is necessary (and we want) that people understand and follow us.
We want to convince, influence, and move people with what we say.
To do that, it requires the application of basic techniques that are tailored to me as a speaker. The effectiveness of your speech will also be highly influenced by your ability to sense, feel, and understand the reactions of the audience as you speak.
Combining both, you achieve presence, and your enhanced charisma gives impact to what you say.

Learn techniques that enable you to speak freely and respond flexibly to the audience or interlocutor(s). Try out how to direct the ideas in the minds of your listeners – how to reach everyone – and create a lasting impact.
Learn how to use images and stories to engage your audience. Conduct effective conversations that meet the factual and personal needs of all participants. Assert yourself in difficult situations and resolve conflicts constructively.
Team Building
Act and perform as ONE team
In a working world characterized by New Ways of Working and agility, people learn to work in networks, with little hierarchy, and must always be open to new things, while sometime having a hard time to give up the tried and tested way or deny values.
Managers have to strive to develop a cohesive team, using the individual strengths of its members, and creating a collective motivation and desire to create together new outcomes in their daily challenges.

You learn what is important for appreciative and constructive communication.
In activity and reflection phases, you will go through the different team development phases together exemplarily and come together as a team.
Intercultural Competence
Understand, use, and benefit from diversity
People are different. They are shaped by different life paths, by their sometimes very different experiences and, of course, by their cultural background. These people come together more than ever in a global and interconnected world. But this does not have to be an obstacle to successful negotiations or cooperation.
If one can take other perspectives, if one learns to understand ways of acting and reacting, it is possible to pave the way for successful cooperation.
Moreover, this competence always represents a gain for oneself. It opens up potentials that can then be used.
How much more can you see and understand of this world when you get to know completely different perspectives on the same thing. This also always creates space for creativity and problem-solving competence.

Diversity – whether from different corporate cultures or from different cultures of this world – you first have to understand. You learn and recognize what has shaped your behavior and your mind set, what role language plays in this and how differently one and the same thing can be seen.
You get to know other perspectives, where they come from and thus create the basis for understanding. In this way you learn not to react automatically or even conditioned to existing challenges, but to take different perspectives and thus expand your scope of action.
Language Training
Develop language competence – understand and reach people
English functions as a mother tongue, but also an intranational and international common language and is completely indispensable as a language of communication in a global world. But foreign language skills in other languages are a sign of cosmopolitanism and respect for other cultures and are accordingly becoming more and more important.
Language skills open doors and create connections – and they enable a deeper understanding and appreciation of the other culture. Intercultural competence cannot be acquired without at least a rudimentary knowledge of the language in and with which this culture has developed.
The German language plays an important role here. In terms of gross domestic product, Germany is the largest economy in Europe and the fourth largest in the world. Knowing and understanding German and German culture can make business relations much easier.
Being able to communicate in German in an understandable and elaborated way also creates respect, particularly when you work in Germany!
